The bodywork is a replica of the fairing set up tested by James Ellison on the Corona Extra Honda CBR1000RR Superbike and run on other AMA teams in 2008. Every piece of the 4 piece fairing is solid carbon and Nomex core. The total weight for the fairing set is less than 3 pounds! The set includes upper, side panels, enclosed belly pan, air intake tunnels, reinforced tank cover, underseat eliminator, right and left Carbon/Kevlar crash covers and GP styled rear hugger. The bodywork has never been available to the public before, and you could be the very first person to own a set.

Honda tail

Finally finished and in stock, the TaylorMade undertail fender eliminator for the 2008 CBR rr 1000 is available now. Those of you with this bike know the stock fender is ugly and heavy. Most replacement tails require cutting, and don't fit correctly. The TaylorMade undertail is available with or without a plate holder. It requires NO CUTTING, and fits perfectly. I mean that. All pieces are solid carbon fiber and match our TMR underbelly exhaust fairing panels. Lights and wiring are included. A complete kit with plate holder and turn signals is $220. The turn signal bracket will work with most aftermarket "shortie" signals, so you can customize.

Somehow, European Honda CBR rr 1000s got more top end power than the American bikes. That's just not right. You can make up the difference with an Ignition Module from Dynojet. Thank you to Ross at Velocity Moto for these pictures of their awesome Hayden Repsol replica. Ross got one of the very first TMR H8 kits and tells me that they really like the TaylorMade for its GP style. It sure looks good on their project bike! Velocity Moto does all sorts of custom work, and they are currently working on mirror block off plates and a stubby tail for an even more accurate race bike look.

Hooray for Dusty at Dynojet, we sent them a system last week and he's got numbers for me already. On a Suzuki 600, our full system + PowerCommander makes 111.7 HP, and the curve is pretty nice too! TaylorMade at Laguna Seca Raceway

Laguna Seca's AMA race was a bittersweet event. I'm always sad when the racing season ends. However, I dried my tears long enough to check out Robert Taylor's (no relation, but we might claim him now) GSXR.

Robert has had his pipe since 2006 and his bike is fantastic. Robert and his brother were just hanging out in the racing school garages when I walked by and I had to take some pictures.

I'll be posting more Laguna pictures this week, but this seemed like the best way to start. We still have 06-07 kits available, and now we have an 08 as well, so you can be like Robert.

2008 Suzuki 600/750 full system is finished. If any of you still have an 08 with stock pipes and you need a stylish alternative, we have something for you.

The 08 Suzuki kit is a full system; headers, muffler, and rt and left side all carbon fairing extensions. All pipe work is thin wall stainless and black ceramic coated. Our test bike above is not coated. naked pipes, don't look.

We will have the kit in the web store by next week, but I can take orders on the phone now. The retail is $1199 and we do recommend a PowerCommander with any full system. We will have maps available in about a week. Our price on PowerCommanders when purchased with a kit is $280.

Indy GP

It was wet and stormy, but we enjoyed it anyway. Every bike fan around should be ordering tickets for next year's MotoGp at Indianapolis. The racing was fantastic even with the rain, and there were incredible bikes everywhere. We were delighted to see this Suzuki with TaylorMade exhaust.

Everyday I get a call asking about progress on the 2008 Suzuki 600/750 exhaust. We're almost done! The pipe work in finished and the trim piece is taking shape. Fabricator Joe Luna has been nice enough to let us tear apart his nice new bike and cover it in Bondo dust, all for you, 600/750 riders! Feel free to buy Joe a beer at Laguna next year.

We've been busy motorcycle fans here at TaylorMade. Not only have we got a new website design, but we've been making motorcycle parts too!
